The Fibre Arts Symposium 2004 is a 4 day event, from the evening of May 13 through May 16th. <br> During this event join us along with acclaimed fibre artists workshop instructors, seminars and presentations by internationally acclaimed speakers. The Fibre Arts Symposium 2004 is presented by the Comox Valley Community Arts Council in partnership with the North Island College. This 4 day, fibre arts event will focus on fibre's diverse functional and decorative forms with professional fibre artists from all over the pacific northwest. Workshops include, paper, basketry and all forms of textile art at North Island College in Courtenay, B.C. The Comox Valley is a vibrant arts and crafts community, situated ina spectacular mountain and ocean side setting on the east coast of Vancouver Island. The main venue of the Fibre Arts Symposium will be held on the beautifully designed and easily accessible campus of North Island College, in its arts studios, theatre space, and classrooms. Satellite venues to be announced.
